Candidate for deputy Ilir Alimehmeti commented on the statements made earlier by the Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha regarding candidacies for the local elections. When Berisha was asked about Florian Binaj's candidacy, he did not confirm that the DP will enter the elections with him.
When asked about this, Alimehmeti explained that Berisha did not mention specific names, but emphasized that the opposition will not come up with independent candidates.
" Berisha actually said that we will not run with an independent candidate, so it is the approach of the political party. There was no talk of specific names."
Mr. Binaj, who has made a fruitful contribution to the Democratic Party in a difficult period, may also be on the way.
"So the Democratic Party will come up with its own candidate, or even a coalition candidate, as it could even be a coalition ," he said on "A2 CNN."
