DP MP Ina Zhupa has stated that the action in Theth is not related to the demolition of buildings in protected areas, as the law itself protected them, but the majority changed it for its own interests.
According to Zhupa, there are other construction projects in protected areas, for example, the Vlora Airport is being built in a protected area, which the Bern Convention and the EU Progress Report have reacted to. According to her, all of this is a public deception.
"This is a public deception, as the existing law did not allow construction in protected areas and it was the will of the government and the majority to change this law to allow construction everywhere. I am in the Constitutional Court precisely because Rama has the will to build everywhere."
