Prime Minister Edi Rama will hold a meeting with the Socialist MPs of Tirana and the leaders of the capital's Municipality structures this afternoon at 18:30. The meeting will be held at one of the hotels in Tirana and is considered part of a series of meetings that Rama has undertaken to intensify the connection with the base and strengthen local engagement.
This is the next meeting that confirms that the Socialist Party is preparing for a "working summer", away from political holidays. The Prime Minister has asked the MPs to be present in the field, to hold meetings with citizens and to identify the problems that different neighborhoods of Tirana face. The aim, according to sources close to the pink headquarters, is to draft a concrete inter-institutional plan to address these issues.
The MPs, over the past few weeks, have been moving around the areas they cover and have collected information from the community. At today's meeting, they are expected to report to the Prime Minister the situation found and discuss the steps that will be taken to improve performance at the local level. This move shows that Rama intends to keep the organizational spirit of the SP alive, even outside the election cycles.
