Sali Berisha created a weak alibi regarding the public accusations that were first made by Lulzim Basha and the official DP and then by the media and journalists that he and his family are behind the construction of the tower in the flower garden behind the Opera Theater and Ballet in Tirana.
Asked by Top News, Berisha, like his son Shkëlzeni earlier, challenged Prime Minister Edi Rama to cancel the permission granted. The calls to cancel the permit as a refrain to drop these charges are not in vain.
Berisha knows very well that at this stage of the project, when the construction company behind which his son is accused of standing, has paid for the design of the project, has signed contracts for suppliers, or other subcontractor companies that can carry out work on the site , cancellation of permission is impossible.
It is impossible because the construction company can turn to Arbitration, not only to fulfill the possible agreements signed with its subcontractor companies, but also as multiple compensation for the investments so far in this project.
But not only that. In the public statement, Sali Berisha intentionally or unintentionally confused the essence of the accusations. He said that as Prime Minister of the country he has never signed for towers in Tirana. However, in the case of the tower behind the Opera and Ballet Theater, no one has accused him of signing the construction of the tower. The company for its construction is Edi Rama.
