Prime Minister Edi Rama has once again expressed his support for the justice institutions and the work of SPAK, referring to the arrests of the country's top officials. He said that this is a responsibility he has towards the citizens so that every corrupt official can be brought to justice.
Rama spoke again about his associates, some of whom have been convicted, arrested or under investigation, saying that anyone who "does one way and two jobs" and leaves their political mission, will face justice.
"I have only one responsibility, which is the responsibility of the leadership of this country to get out of a painful history once and for all and to come in this direction. What we have started by giving life to SPAK should not be stopped, and I am responsible for the fact that finally the people who voted for me see that there are no untouchables here, that whoever shares the common goals is honorable, who will make a journey and two jobs to catch something, to go where it belongs. This is why we made SPAK. It took the SP and me at the head of it together with other people so that in Albania there are high political figures connected to the government or not who go before justice like Chechuas. We will firmly support SPAK at any cost. SP has 100,000 people and a former minister, another former minister who go before justice is part of this mission for justice to deal with them, I don't deal with it. You Albanian elite have a problem. You say one thing, you think another, and meanwhile you have the perception that politicians are all the same", declared Prime Minister Edi Rama in his interview in Opinion.
Prime Minister Rama reiterated his conviction that the Special Prosecutor's Office was established thanks to the will of the Socialist Party.
