The plenary session of the Assembly was accompanied by a debate between the head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, and MP Gazment Bardhi, regarding a request submitted to the Assembly.
In his speech, Balla stated that there is no request in the Assembly to lift immunity, since, according to him, MPs and ministers do not enjoy immunity. He emphasized that this is a request for authorization for a security measure.
Balla told him that the Mandates Council will meet on Monday, February 23, while adding that the GJKKO interfered with the Prime Minister's powers.

Balla: In the Albanian Parliament there is no request for lifting immunity, as MPs and ministers do not have immunity. There is a request for granting authorization for security measures.
