The leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, has commented on the summons to SPAK of former Interior Minister Lulzim Basha regarding the January 21 file, stating that clarifying the matter is in his utmost interest.
Berisha stated that if he receives a summons from SPAK, he will appear, adding that the Garda has acted in accordance with the law.
The former Prime Minister said that they will never be able to find that there was an order, because there was none. Berisha added that the January 21 protest was the most violent demonstration with a political agenda to overthrow the government.
"From 2013 to 2025, the person who obstructed that file has only one name and that is Edi Rama. The investigation and clarification of this issue is the utmost interest of Sali Berisha and the DP. It was clear, it was the most violent demonstration with a political agenda to overthrow the government. There was no order from anyone, they will never be able to find that there was an order, because there was none.
"The Guard acted in accordance with the law, the law was approved by the majority at that time. In every summons that is given to me, I have been summoned to SPAK, every time I have been summoned, I will do it," said Berisha.
