The chairman of the DP, Lulzim Basha, held a meeting with the structures of the DP in Vlora. Among other things, he writes that the funds for the grants of the IPARD program should be investigated.
" In Vlora, with the political leaders of this District, we started work on the reorganization and modernization of the Democratic Party and political action, to offer Albanians a strong, efficient opposition and the alternative they expect and deserve. Poor citizens, high corruption. This is the reality that was also seen from the Incinerators file where the government is responsible for stealing 430 million euros from citizens' pockets.
Brussels' decision to suspend grants for agriculture from the IPARD program shows the greed of this government, which also abuses EU funds.
Therefore we will ask:
Parliamentary investigation of IPARD funds, where European taxpayers' money was diverted for corrupt projects and affairs. The end of impunity for corruption at the highest levels is the beginning of the end of the transition and the real change that Albanians are waiting for ," writes Basha.
