The political leader of the Democratic Party in the Tirana region, Belind Këlliçi, invited to "Log" on News24, has reacted to the accusations of payments of 6 million dollars, which have raised many doubts in the media recently.
He has denied these accusations and clarified that there is no transaction from the DP confirming that this payment was made.
Kelliçi explained that the contract, signed for a 24-month period, which began on April 4, has a fixed monthly payment of $250,000. He emphasized that the contract provides for the possibility of stopping the service after the third month.
" There is no evidence to support the claims of $6 million in payments. The logic of the contract is simple and published for any person who wants to examine it ," said Këlliçi, adding that the amount paid for three months is in line with what was foreseen in the agreement.
Këlliçi added that the payments were made by the “Make Albania Great Again” foundation, which aims to lobby and support the country’s development. He stressed that these payments are legal and in line with common lobbying practices in the US.
" Everything is legal and in accordance with common US lobbying practices. The contract is transparent and all payments were made in accordance with relevant laws ," said Këlliçi.
Finally, Këlliçi made a comparison between the amount paid for three months and the cost of a non-existent incinerator, which is equivalent to a payment of 88 euros per day. He also compared this amount to a box of “Romano Conti” wine, which according to him, Prime Minister Rama consumes every lunch.

And if 3 months of this contract have been paid, which is equivalent to 8 days of payment for the incinerator that does not exist, which is 88 euros per day or a bottle of "Romano Conti" wine that Rama drinks every lunch..
This amount paid for 3 months was paid by a foundation called "Make Albania Great Again". The object of this foundation and the lobbying, which was signed by people known in the US, is completely legal, a completely normal practice in the US.
