The secretary for emigration at Reestablishment, Indrit Hoxha, has reacted to the news that Ilir Beqaj has replaced Romina Kuko in the composition of the negotiating group for Albania's negotiations with the EU.
Through a reaction on social networks, Hoxha writes that while everyone is waiting for Beqaj to be arrested for the biggest corruption affair, Rama promotes him as chief negotiator with the EU.
"When we all expect the arrest of Ilir Beqaj for one of the biggest corruption cases, Rama promotes him as chief negotiator with the EU!!!!", Hoxha writes.
We remind you that Rama has signed changes in the leadership dome of the composition of the negotiating group for the negotiations of Albania's accession to the European Union. The group was led by Romina Kuko, Deputy Minister of the Interior, but she has left and Ilir Beqaj has been appointed in her place.
"Based on the law on foreign service, on the creation, organization and operation of the state structure, responsible for the development of negotiations and the conclusion of the accession treaty of Albania to the European Union, with the proposal of the Minister of State and Chief Negotiator, the Council of Ministers decided that based on the decision on the composition, rules of operation and financial treatment of the negotiating group and the duties of the Chief Negotiator for the development of the accession negotiations of the Republic of Albania to the European Union, Romina Kuko, Deputy Minister of the Interior will be replaced by Ilir Beqaj, Director General of the State Agency for Strategic Programming and Aid Coordination", the decision states.
But placing Beqaj at the head of the negotiating group is clearly a strategic move by Rama. The former Minister of Health is on the verge of prison. He is accused of one of the biggest affairs in the field of health, that of concessions. SPAK is closing the file on the "sterilization" affair and Beqaj will most likely go behind bars.
