Democratic leader Sali Berisha has issued a clear and firm warning to Edi Rama regarding the May 11 elections.
Berisha said that Albanians should vote freely and if Edi Rama wants to affect their vote, he will not find a hole to hide in.
"There will be no place on earth to escape if you touch the votes on May 11," Berisha said.
In his speech, which lasted over 30 minutes, Berisha focused on the main points of the coalition program he leads, but also conveyed several distant messages to the socialist leader, Edi Rama.
Berisha did not spare jokes towards Rama, whom he compared in age to Gramoz Ruçi's grandfather, but also to Don Quixote, who fought with windmills.
Berisha also greeted all those socialists who have joined 'Greater Albania' in this May 11 campaign, while expressing his conviction that Albanians are eagerly awaiting change.
" I want that together with them, just as we overthrew the dictatorship of your fathers, just as we established the market and democracy, just as we made Albania a member of NATO, just as we transformed Albania, we now build a Great Albania, the most beautiful Albania that Albanians have had in their entire history.
Therefore, we will start this project not with the patronageists as you do, not with those ministers and your clan, those oligarchs that you keep around and ruthlessly plunder this country, but we will start with those who count the food, we will start with those who cry tears of misery, we will start with those 780 thousand men and women that you have reduced like no other in Europe.
We will establish a living wage of 200 euros for every pensioner, every student, every unemployed person, and everyone on economic assistance.
We are the party of increasing and doubling salaries and pensions, we will increase and double them.
Albania of work, Albania of paid people, Albania of people who produce, Albania of people of success is the goal of our project.
Therefore, I am here to pledge to the Albanians that the government will impose on them the lowest taxes that exist in Europe and the world, so that you, with your labor and sweat, can prosper, become wealthy, and become rich.
There is no other country as rich as Albania, no 28 thousand square kilometers that has its own fabulous wealth.
Today, they are exploited by Edi Rama and his oligarchs just like in the most savage colonial system.
"Tomorrow they will turn into wealth for you, for your children, for Great Albania, for the Albania of the future," Berisha said, among other things.
