The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Gazmend Bardhi, has revealed that negotiations are being carried out so that all the camps within the right, will gather in one.
Gazment Bardhi has confirmed that he started the first steps of the talks with the deputies of Sali Berisha's group.
"All the deputies who are determined to be in opposition are together in the parliament, they are coordinating their parliamentary action. This union will have to be extended to our political action outside the parliament for which we are working", he said to Report TV.
The idea of unification was thrown a few months ago by the allied parties, with what they called an opposition federation, for which Bardhi warns that there will be developments soon.
"The opposition needs a broad opposition political coalition to include every opposition factor and all opposition action to be coordinated by a body where all opposition political parties are represented. Work is being done in this direction as well," said Bardhi.
Bardhi, under the lines, let me understand that he can also cooperate with Lulzim Basha, but first he must provide evidence that he is on the side of the opposition, and the latest initiatives, to condemn the defamation used by the deputies, according to Bardhi, and orient towards Rama.
"Mr. Basha and any of the colleagues, if they value themselves in the opposition, have the obligation to be together with us when we fight for commissions, electoral reform, or when we fight for what we jointly proposed in the Assembly. Their absence when we are in action for the constitutional rights of the opposition, or the proposal of a law that even Edi Rama would be envious of (defamation punishment) instead of standing by the opposition MPs when we denounce, proposing a law that the MPs of the opposition will be punished with two years. I wish that in 2024 he will answer to the opposition mandate he received as a representative of the opposition people", he said.
Even with Sali Berisha under house arrest, on Monday the opposition MPs will address the parliament with a clear goal: There is no peace and normality.
"There is no way to have normality of work in the Assembly. Because normality means that the majority performs its duty without preventing the opposition from performing its constitutional responsibilities. I don't believe that the absence of Berisha will hinder it, but the absence of Berisha and every opposition MP in action has its own importance. We will evaluate at the meeting of the parliamentary group whether our behavior will be the same, that is to make the normal sessions impossible, or whether it will be moved to other escalating steps of the opposition's action", says Bardhi.
