Gugash Kamberi, a Socialist Party activist in Tirana, passed away today after a long illness. Socialist MP Erion Braçe made the news public through a post on social media.
Braçe identifies Kamberi as an active supporter of the Socialist Party until the end of his life. He states that Kamberi, even in a paralyzed state, participated in the last elections and voted at the polling station in Tirana in 2025.
In the same reaction, Braçe presents an episode related to the Albanian Post. According to him, on April 1, 2026, the postman delivered the pension to the Kamberi family and then returned during the day to request the return of the amount.
Braçe links this action to a lack of institutional responsibility and places it in the context of the day of the beneficiary's death. He emphasizes that Kamberi was alive during March and on April 1.

Gugash Kamberi was a man, a parent, a grandfather, a good man - he remained like that, he remains like that! A whole life built through work, honor, dignity, kindness, the illness that limited him, but not; he was active until the end! Gugash Kamberi was a socialist; at the head of a family that has supported us endlessly; I also received support, coming to Tirana, from him and his family; even paralyzed, he did not miss and came to the voting center a year ago, voted once again; I am amazed by the strength of determination of such people; above all, it makes me responsible to them, their families! I want to console the Kamberi family, all their loved ones and friends at 5?sa, 9ta and wherever they are! Gugash, may the earth be light on your chest; may you be remembered and honored as you were - good!
