DP MP, Gazment Bardhi speaking about the situation of the opposition, stated that apart from Sali Berisha, he also invited Lulzim Basha to the table, as well as any colleague who wants the opposition to be in the parliament on the issues they agree on.
In an interview for "Real Story", he emphasized that they should put aside the 2-year conflict, which they cannot provide a solution to. He added that division into groups already weakened the opposition and therefore he thought of a different approach.
"I have not returned to anyone, I continue to have my attitudes in relation to DP. But Kukes, Rrogozhina are mentioned and May 14 should not be forgotten. The fact is that from a 2-year battle within the DP, not only was the battle for which it was started not achieved, the strengthening of the DP, the strengthening of the opposition and the fact that some left the battle at the start. The result was that the opposition was weakening and Albania was in danger of being left without a functional opposition.
Since the first day that I have assumed my position as chairman of the DP parliamentary group, I am aware that the positions within the party are distant and at the moment they are speaking it is impossible to offer a solution that is acceptable to everyone and the solution that I want I wanted to see in DP is quite clear, leaving aside this conflict that we cannot resolve. Then I, as the chairman, invited the 59 deputies of the Democratic Party and the Alliance for Change to a table. I have not only invited Mr. Berisha to the table, but also Mr. Basha, any colleague who wants us in the opposition to be in the parliament on those issues that we agree on, of course there are also issues that we do not agree on," said Bardhi . .
