The leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, has confirmed that he will run again to lead this political force in the 2026 elections.

Asked if he will run again in 2026, Berisha said:  Of course, this is an open question, but anyone can answer it.

The Chief Democrat emphasized that it will be the DP membership that will make the final interpretation.

"It will be the DP membership that will make the final interpretation. There will be an open competition for the leader of the DP," Berisha said.
