The Democratic Party's candidate on the open list for Tirana, Jorida Tabaku, has reacted for the first time on the lobbying contract that her party has signed with a lobbying office in the United States, emphasizing that everything will be transparent and declared.
Invited to the News24 studio, Tabaku said that the contract will be published according to legal deadlines and procedures and that there is no secret or suspicious element in this agreement.
" The DP will make the contract transparent, when it is to be declared, it will be declared. Everything is as it seems. It is reflected in the contract ," said Tabaku.
She emphasized that unlike the practices that, according to her, the ruling majority follows, the Democratic Party has acted openly and legally: " There is no payment like the government does and other forms like the government does, everything is transparent and declared ."
According to Tabaku, what really matters in this case is the changed perception of the DP's relations with the United States:
" For me, the news about the contract is that Albanians have realized that the DP has open doors in the US and a big taboo has fallen ," she said.
She added that all details on the implementation of this contract will be filed with the Central Election Commission (CEC), according to the rules for declaring electoral expenses.
