The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted after the election of Endri Shabani to the position of Ombudsman, describing the process as a "kidnapping" of the last institution that was previously based on consensus.
In a statement to the media, Berisha accused the majority of overturning a practice established over the years, by not respecting the proposed candidacies and the agreed process.
He emphasized that the election of the new head of the People's Advocate is an indicator of the capture of institutions and the lack of dialogue between political parties.
"A process installed for many years was overturned yesterday, snatching away the last institution. There was half left, because Mrs. Ballanca was a candidate liked by both parties. This segment was left. He categorically rejected Besim Ndregjoni, Adriana Kalana, every candidacy supported by the DP and robbed the opposition he wanted in opposition, putting a big knife in a delicate and difficult process, but which proves that Rama is ready to kick anything.
"I am not stopping at the election of the head of SPAK, even the high concentration of the diplomatic corps, leaves many to suspect that it was done with the sole purpose of neutralizing the black hand of Rama and the members of the KLP. They have been ambassadors, but not all of them as they were. They wanted to send a message that the government could not take, as it took Endri Shabani, even the candidate they wanted in this process ," said Berisha.
