Former DP MP Ervin Salianji continued his tour of meetings with Democratic Party structures and activists, stopping today in the city of Lezha.
A large number of democrats participated in the meeting, filling the hall of the Lezha Palace of Culture.
During his speech, the former MP stated that the DP must become a winning force by uniting all the oppositionists who, according to him, have been "pouring into the opposition" for 13 years. He stated that despite the opposition's attacks, his goal is to unite the democrats.
Salianji emphasized that only through the complete unification of the opposition can political rotation in the country be achieved.
"We must make the DP victorious, unite all the democrats who have been in opposition for 13 years, unite the opposition people and make rotation possible. We have stood up to the most banal and corrupt government in the history of Albania. I have received many messages from democrats from all over the country. But what is happening in Lezha is that the hall is full. Democrats want change, Albania wants change. The Democrats of Lezha have tried everything, in these years the mistakes of the DP leadership and abandonment by the leadership, but they have never lost hope," he said.
The Democrats have not heeded the DP's call to boycott the Salijanj meeting, while they have joined his activity.
A day earlier, Berisha sent a message to the Democrats of Lezha asking them not to take part in the meeting. In the message addressed to the Democrats, it was stated that the Salijanj meeting has a completely private agenda and is being organized with the help of the Mayor of Lezha, Pjerin Ndreu.
