The next meeting of the Administrative-Territorial Reform Commission, held today in Debar, was accompanied by strong debates between representatives of the majority and the opposition.
Democratic Party MP, Xhelal Mziu, verbally clashed with the Socialist co-chair of the committee, Arbjan Mazniku, during discussions in the chamber.
According to the debate broadcast from the meeting, tensions began after Mziu refused to interrupt his speech and respect the time allotted for discussion, refusing to pass the microphone to other participants.
At this moment, Mazniku intervened, asking the Democratic MP to respect the rules of hearing and the time set for each speaker.
The debate then escalated, with Mziu addressing Maznik in high-pitched tones, declaring: "What's bothering you? You won't be doing any more commissions, that's what I'm telling you."
On the other hand, Mazniku reacted by emphasizing that the commission had already held several public hearings and requested that the meeting not be degraded into a political conflict.
"We've had 8 hearings, don't ruin it now," he said during the debate.
