The Chairman of the Republican Party of Albania, Fatmir Mediu, has spoken about the political situation within the party.
Mediu stressed that this is not the time for his departure, while adding that there is always a time to evaluate political direction and make important decisions.
According to Mediu, the Republican Party has many young individuals with authority, but in the face of current challenges, everyone's commitment is required.
"Absolutely, there is always a time when you have to look at the political direction and the decisions that you have to make, and I have said that if there are two people that I am grateful to in the political process, one is Sabri Godo and Sali Berisha. The political rotation must be seen. This should not be seen only because of a moment of personal feeling.
The Republican Party has many young people with authority who make it possible to lead the Republican Party, but in the situations we have had, I think it needs everyone's contributions. This is not the time for the opposition to be exclusionary but inclusive.
"The first task is the organization and functioning of the Democratic Party in every voting center with its entire history, the unification of the opposition around programs, not around individuals, and the inclusion of every opposition entity in this relationship ," Mediu told "Euronews Albania".
