The election process in the branches of the Democratic Party in several cities in the country has concluded, confirming the current leaders in Përmet and Tepelena, while in Kukës Rrahman Demaj was declared the winner.
In Përmet , Arson Lipe managed to retain the position of mayor after a race with Roland Bonjo, while in Tepelena , Malo Sadikaj was re-elected as head of the branch against candidates Sevo Mici and Laviola Guma.
Meanwhile, in Kukës , the race ended with a landslide result in favor of Rrahman Demaj, who secured 642 votes against rival Sabah Cenaj's 273. 927 members out of around 1,700 registered participated in the process, reflecting a significant turnout.
After the announcement of the result, Demaj thanked his supporters and expressed his commitment to unifying the structures and strengthening the branch. On the other hand, his rival accepted the result, describing the process as orderly and emphasizing the need for unity within the party.
