GJKKO is expected to decide tomorrow on SPAK's request, regarding the change of the security measure for the former prime minister, Sali Berisha.
In this regard, Berisha stated that, if he had agreed to leave politics after being declared non grata, today there would be no court proceedings against him.
In an interview for the guest show 'A Show' on SYRI TV, Berisha said that on September 9, 2021, he decided to return to politics for two reasons.
The first because according to him the people decide who represents them in the Assembly and the second because he understood that the opposition led by Basha was controlled.
" Without any discussion I would not be, but I would never be able to answer you. But this situation constitutes a new motivation to continue my battle without return.
On September 9, when they absurdly wanted to remove me from parliament, I decided to return for two main reasons. First; because the Albanians must decide that they must determine who should or should not be in the parliament. The second; I realized that it is a controlled opposition. I believe that only a sovereign opposition is true for a country. A subdued opposition never wins and never leads to victory.
These two have been major goals. I think that both have a realization, since I continued to be a deputy and today I am a deputy. We have a real opposition, controlled by the will of its members and supporters. We united the parliamentary group and started a battle without return against Rama, with the full conviction that we will move towards victory. Two have been achieved, the third is in progress.
All these that you see are expressions of a total terror and imbalance of the narco state and the mob dictator, the thug of Edi Rama, who governs in connection with the gangs. Compared to the old dictatorship, it has replaced the class struggle as a social movement, with the alliance with crime as the main driving force ," said Berisha.
