"Vjosa Osmani has been threatened for two years"
Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has been threatened for two consecutive years.
Rama said that Osmani was threatened after he did not allow Hague prosecutors to exercise control over the Presidency's office.
According to Rama, the request was justified with the claim of verifying evidence of crimes against humanity, while he added that Osmani did not allow such a thing.
"It may be a state secret in Kosovo, but it is not a state secret for me that Osmani has also been threatened and you do not know this, because it has never been said, because she has not allowed prosecutors to violate the office of the president's institution, because they would seek evidence of crimes against humanity. Something that would place Kosovo in the eyes of the world, as a state where evidence is found even in the highest office, up to the office of the president, but for her honor and that of Kosovo, she has stopped this thing," said Rama.
Meanwhile, Rama has also spoken about the trials in The Hague against former KLA leaders, stating that there is no evidence against them for crimes such as terror, ethnic cleansing, or crimes against humanity.
During his speech, at the promotion of the book "When Silence Speaks" by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Shala, academic and former ambassador to Kosovo, Rama said that the four KLA leaders did not arm themselves to carry out a policy of extermination, but to oppose such a policy towards Albanians in Kosovo.
According to him, the Special Court, voted by the Kosovo Assembly itself, was not created to place Kosovo in the dock. Rama spoke of the existence of a long-term plan that, according to him, began with Dick Marty's report on organ trafficking and was pushed forward by Russian representatives in the Council of Europe.
The head of government also declared that the former president of Kosovo has been "held hostage" since the moment he left for the US.
"According to the request of the Hague tribunal's prosecution, four more will be added to these convicts on the other side of the barricade, while the prosecution did not have the capacity to prove anything similar, since there is no connection between the activities of the four KLA leaders. There is no connection between their activities and those of the KLA with terror, ethnic cleansing, mass graves of innocent people, targeting of children and women, or with rapes, murders, drowning of people in the river.
Those four men did not arm themselves to build a policy of extermination, but against a policy of extermination. They did not arm themselves to impose their rule on a foreign territory, but to get rid of the rule of foreigners on their land.
