Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha says that Igli Tafa, who was appointed head of the State Agency for the Information Society (AKSHI), is a “puppet and tool of the Surrel clan.”
Berisha stated that Tafa is linked to the tender worth 75 million euros.
He added that through this appointment, the government aims to maintain control over the AKSHI.
In his statement, he also focused on Tafa's salary, saying that it was higher than the average level and that the Prime Minister intervened to regulate it.
"At the head of the AKSHI evidence garden is the notorious Igli Tafa. He represents the director of cybersecurity, who is also the author of the 75 million euro tender for Rama's dairy or for Linda Rama's golden brother-in-law, in which no work or expenditure can be proven except for the looting of 75 million euros from the state treasury, the latter with 25 million... So Igli Tafa is a puppet, a tool of the Surrel clan that will keep AKSHI at all costs, from which they have looted hundreds of millions of euros.
"Tafa had a salary twice as big and Rama has taken it upon himself to adjust his salary. Rama is making AKSHI a private state enterprise, where the black hands of the Rama clan, through his Frang, reach out and completely seize it," said Berisha.
