The chairman of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, spoke about his proposal for a platform for the unification of the Democratic Party.
In an interview for the show "Now" on "Euronews Albania", he said that it is important to understand that the language of hatred and division cannot strengthen the party.
" Today's meeting is a reflection after the results of the May 14 elections, a broad discussion, which is why it took so much time, with many actors and factors within the Democratic Party, and in conclusion the deputies have come to this position. We have consulted with certain members of the presidency, with party structures, with party members, with former officials of the Democratic Party over the years who are completely withdrawn from politics, so it is not a document consulted or agreed between parts of the Democratic Party . , said Bardhi.
He added that he did not want to name names, but each member of the group consulted with different actors and factors. Bardhi also said that the platform presented by him is only an attitude of how the DP group sees the way to solve the crisis within the party.
According to Bardhi, the group that supports Berisha has not presented any proposal, not even in the past, and has not accepted any of the group's proposals to stop the division.
