
The opposition has denounced a case in the Saranda region regarding the May 11 elections. DP MP Ina Zhupa says that CEAZ No. 93 in Konispol has violated the law, adding that two public administration officials are being used as electoral tools.
The Deputy Mayor has violated the law and removed election materials from the office. According to her, Julian Lako, who is also the secretary of the CEAZ, has lost the seal of CEAZ 93. Zhupa says that Lako claims that he lost it.
In her denunciation, the MP calls on the competent authorities to take urgent measures, while emphasizing that the Democratic Party has prepared a criminal report against Mr. Lako.
"KZAZ 93 of the Konispol municipality is operating in violation of the law by two public administration officials who are being used as electoral tools."
The Head of Civil Registry, Eva Uzeir, who issues the voter lists, is also the vice-chair of the CEAZ that receives the voter lists.
The Deputy Mayor of Konispol, Julian Lako, at the same time secretary of the CEAZ, loses the seal of the CEAZ 93! A flagrant violation of the law and the security of the electoral process. The seal does not move from the CEAZ and is used only when there is collegiality, it is not an object that is taken for personal use by the secretary.
The competent bodies should take urgent measures, the Democratic Party has prepared a criminal report against Mr. Lako.
"In the meantime, our representative at the CEC will request, according to the electoral code, the immediate dismissal of the two public officials representing the Socialist Party in CEAZ 93 ," said Zhupa.
