The Socialist Party presented its infrastructure program today. Initially, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Belinda Balluku spoke about the projects targeted for the next mandate.
According to her, one of the projects that will be completed this summer and which is one of the longest infrastructure travails according to her is the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë road.
" It must be said that this summer also ends one of the longest calvary of the Qokë-Qafë Plòçë infrastructure, which is a road built at the height of Gurrë and Opar with major problems in construction and in the design method of that time. But within the summer of this year it will be delivered and those who access towards Korça will have the opportunity to access it directly, leaving aside all the turns that lead to Korça through Qafë Plòçë, thus providing a separation of traffic, often heavy in the direction of the exit of the border point to the RMV and taking traffic directly to Korça ," she said.
According to the minister, the Maqellarë-Peshkopi axis will also be handed over on April 30. As for another important work, such as the Elbasan Bypass, the application process for financing in foreign banks has begun.
" The Elbasan bypass is a work that has a project. We have started the process of applying for financing in foreign banks. It is expected to be a project that has a cost of 250 million euros. In addition to the fact that it is the most important node of the VIII corridor, as it connects the Rrogozhina node with the northern part of the corridor, it creates access from Tirana to Elbasan. It will also create full access to the area where the car park will be built, which will be another development nucleus ," said Balluku.
The Minister also listed several new projects in the coming years. Among them, the roads: Dhërmi-Saranda, Gjirokastër-Libohovë-Zagori, Tepelenë-Përmet-Ersekë, Berat-Skrapar-Gramsh, Lakes Road and Mountain Road.
