The Court of Appeal has published the official announcement, which decided that the leadership of the Democratic Party belongs to Berisha.
The decision of the Court of Appeal, which decided that the seal and logo of the Democratic Party will belong to Sali Berisha, is clarified.
The panel of judges, consisting of Alma Ahmeti, Elona Toro and Iliba Bezati, has rejected the appeal of the legal representatives of Lulzim Basha who sought the annulment of the decision of Judge Agron Zhukri, who in March of 2022 recognized the group of Reestablishment as the legal representative of the Party Democratic.
The court did not accept Enkelejd Alibeaj's appeal, leaving in effect the decision of the court of First Instance that the seal belongs to Sali Berisha.
In the announcement of the Court, it is also stated that the current leader of the DP, Lulzim Basha, has 5 days to oppose the decision and to appeal to the Supreme Court, this deadline starting the next day.

Following the information provided earlier and in respect of the right of the public to be informed on issues of public interest and especially the processes on the requests for registration in the register of political parties for the subject Democratic Party of Albania, we inform you as follows :
The Democratic Party of Albania, represented by the Temporary Commission of Re-establishment, has appealed against decision no. 44, dated 03.03.2023 of the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction and requested:
- The annulment of decision no. 44, dated 03.03.2023 of the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction.
- The declaration as inadmissible of the appeal submitted by MP Enkelejd Alibeaj against decision no. 3, dated 25.03.2022 of the Court of the Judicial District of Tirana.
-Enforcement of decision no. 3, dated 25.03.2022 of the Court of the Judicial District of Tirana.
The Civil College of the Supreme Court with decision no. 786, dated 27.12.2023 decided:
Disruption of decision no. 44, dated 03.03.2023 of the Court of Appeal of the General Jurisdiction and sending the case for reconsideration to that court, with another panel.
On 11.06.2024, during the retrial of the case in the court of appeal, the representative with authorization av. Ivi Kaso of the Democratic Party of Albania, "Temporary Re-establishment Commission" requested:
- "Rejection of the appeal against decision no. 3, dated 25.03.2022 of the Court of the Judicial District of Tirana".
Legal representatives av. Indrit Sefa and av. Rezart Kthupi, of the Democratic Party of Albania, represented by Mr. Enkelejd Alibeaj, asked:
"Annulment of Decision no. 3, dated 25.03.2022 of the Tirana Judicial District Court, deciding: Suspension of the trial, as they are not legitimized".
At the end of the trial, today on 11.06.2024, the Court of Appeal of the General Jurisdiction, composed of the panel with the Judicial Reporter Mrs. Alma Ahmeti and member Mrs. Elona Toro and Mrs. Iliba Bezati decided:
- The rejection of the appeal filed against decision No. 3, dated 25.03.2022 of the Court of the Judicial District of Tirana.
- Against this decision, a special appeal can be made to the Supreme Court within 5 days, starting from the day after the communication of the decision.
- The reasoned decision will be communicated to the parties.
