Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted regarding the interview from the cell of the former president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi.
While sharing the interview on Facebook, Rama emphasizes that a trial is taking place against Thaçi that the longer it continues, the more questions it raises about the level of respect for the fundamental democratic principle of "fair process".
"Good morning and with this interview of the President of the Republic of Kosovo and the commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army, our friend and my brother Hashim Thaçi, who has spoken for the first time since the day he was locked up in the Hague prison, where a trial that the longer it continues, the more it raises questions about the level of respect for the basic democratic principle of "fair process", I wish you a good day to all of you, in Albania and Kosovo", writes Rama.
After almost three years since his arrest by the Specialized Chambers, Hashim Thaçi gave an interview yesterday, inside the detention rooms, where he talks about himself, his family, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, the present and the future of Kosovo, about the vital necessity of the country to remain in the permanent alliance with the United States of America, not to remain in a continuous state of successive crises, as well as the need to conclude once and for all the issues with Serbia in mutual recognition.
