The Socialist Party is holding decoration ceremonies as part of the party's 35th anniversary, but some of the honored figures have family or personal ties to people involved in criminal cases. After the decoration of Bardhyl Agas in Durrës, the decoration of former MP Jurgis Çyrbja in Shijak has also caused a stir, just a few months after his release from prison...
Edi Rama continues to make it clear day by day that he has no intention of breaking away from crime. It was the strong ties with crime that brought him to power in 2013, after the Parliament was filled with murderers, convicted prostitutes, strongmen, criminals, etc. But it seems that those ties have been strengthened even more along the way and it seems that they are keeping the Socialist Party afloat. But what makes the situation worse is that now these ties are being openly advertised.
In the framework of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Party, a kind of campaign has been launched in the regions of the country where important figures of this party are decorated. On paper, important figures, historical figures who have given a lot to the party, should be decorated. But the scandal is that characters who are connected to crime are being decorated.
Yesterday, Bardhyl Agas' decoration in Durrës caused a stir. He may indeed have made a great contribution to the SP, but the decoration caused a stir because he is the father of Ergys Agas. The latter is being sought by SPAK for criminal group, kidnappings and other criminal offenses. He is also known as the "crime coordinator" who maintained the connections between the SP and the gangs. But this did not stop Blendi Klosi from giving Bardhyl Agas a decoration yesterday.
The situation becomes even more interesting, as a similar ceremony was held in Shijak, where former SP MP Jurgis Çyrbja was decorated. The latter was released from prison only a few months ago. He was arrested for leaking secrets and links to crime. The Special Prosecution's file states that former MP Çyrbja had a friendship with the internationally wanted person, Altin Hajri, to whom he promised to help him face justice in exchange for votes during the elections.
At the end of February he was released, but apparently he has outstanding values for the SP and has been decorated. /Pamphlet
