The Democratic Party MP for the Durrës region, Igli Cara, denounced the serious flooding situation caused by the overflow of the Erzen River, emphasizing the lack of responsibility and intervention by the government.
In a live broadcast on "Ora News", Cara said that the situation is difficult in the surrounding villages, due to the fact that residents also keep livestock, which are already at risk as a result of the flood. He also stressed that despite the repeated floods, no one takes responsibility for them.
"With the Erzen River overflowing, we have had entire areas flooded. Currently, we have flooded houses, they have neither electricity nor water. They are in difficult times, especially since they are in rural areas and they have livestock that are at risk.
"Has anyone taken responsibility or not? Not at all. No one takes responsibility. We are used to this government that never takes responsibility, both when it is caught red-handed and when it is caught with concrete facts. Today we have a situation that has actually been happening for two years ," said Cara.
