Secretary General of the Democratic Party Enkelejd Alibeaj said that the commission for Electoral Reform was requested by the chairman of the Democratic Party while adding that the Reestablishment was against.
"As representatives of the PD we have drafted, they are at least at the table of the Electoral Reform Commission and we are waiting to see if they have ideas or positions on what is necessary. The majority did not want to set up the Electoral Reform Commission, it was the DP. As it was a request of the international partners requested by DP to set up the two commissions. The one for administrative territorial reform and the commission for Electoral Reform.
These representatives of Reestablishment were against the establishment of the Electoral Reform Commission. Several meetings were held to recommend all OSCE-ODIHR recommendations. We presented a complete package. No representatives of Reestablishment or the opposition participated. But in any case, I think we are still in time", said Alibeaj for "Report Tv".
Focusing on the vote of immigrants, Alibeaj said that Prime Minister Rama goes against the decision of the GJK and that this risks the parliamentary elections being declared anti-contestation.
"It is not true that there is no electronic register, the data can be obtained from the TIMS system. We predicted that at least 6 months ago on election day. Every Albanian who is outside Albania has the right to express his will at the CEC, and there the voter register of Albanians outside the territory is created. It is enough time. To vote by electronic method. We understand where the Albanians are. Rama has given his position not to vote for immigrants, violating the decision of the CJK. This also risks the elections being declared unconstitutional" , said Alibeaj.
