Korreshi proposed an 'amendment' for insults in the Assembly, Manja:
Saimir Korreshi and Ulsi Manja

The plenary session was accompanied by ironic tones between MP Saimir Korreshi and Minister of Justice Ulsi Manja, during discussions on a draft law.

Korreshi presented a proposal that he called an amendment, ironizing the way of communication in politics and what he described as a European standard. He suggested that, with the entry into force of the law, if someone wants to offend another by mentioning the mother, they should do so with an expression in a foreign language, in order, according to him, to maintain an ethical form in accordance with recent linguistic developments.

"I will close with an amendment, I don't know Mr. Ulsi if you will approve it, representing behavior and customs according to European standards and taking into account recent linguistic developments, I propose that from the entry into force of this law, if you want to insult someone's mother, you can say 'ratione mate rahe'. And that way you will become more ethical in Europe," said Korreshi, among other things.

After this statement, Manja responded by saying that he needs training at the Shepherds' Academy. The Minister argued that the opposition MP presents a negative picture for the country, while according to him the reality is different and citizens no longer support the Democratic Party for this reason.

"Today, the idea that he really meant it in the Laws Committee when he mentioned the Shepherds' Academy was reinforced. He says it jokingly, but I really mean it to take the turn at the Shepherds' Academy, because you seriously need training. Because there is a sharp irony in what he says, he is trying to paint Albania black and take it to the end of the world, when Albanian citizens are moving forward and coming here from us. Don't give up on the Shepherds' Academy, Saimir, trust me on this. I hope that the waves beyond Rrogozhina are not interrupted, because if Saimir is left without waves on the phone, who cares what picture he will bring us here next Thursday", said Manja.

Manja added that Korreshi had previously mentioned this academy in the Laws Committee and that, according to him, the training proposal was serious. He accused the MP of describing the situation in Albania in a one-sided manner.

In response, Korreshi stated that he would accept to become a shepherd, but added that there is a shortage of sheep in the country, using this as an argument to criticize the government for its management of the agricultural sector.

The exchange of jokes took place in the presence of other deputies and was accompanied by reactions in the hall.
