While the vote counting process has not yet begun in the largest districts, including Tirana, the leaders of the two main parties in the country, the Socialist Party and the Democratic Party, have decided to await the first results in their offices, in their respective headquarters.
Edi Rama has been in his office at the Socialist Party since 8:00 PM, and Sali Berisha has also chosen to remain in his office at the Democratic Party.
Both headquarters are almost empty, while candidates for deputies and every other party official has been distributed to the CEAZ, where the votes will be counted.
