The former prime minister, Sali Berisha, spoke about the massacre with three victims in Shkodra, as he called on the citizens to participate massively in the protest, which he described as the 'liberation march of Shkodra'.
During his speech at the window of the apartment, Berisha said that it is time for the people of Shkodra to regain their city from the criminal gangs in power, which according to him have taken innocent human lives. Among other things, the former prime minister said that before our eyes they have taken away justice, democracy and little by little, in addition to human lives, they are also destroying the nation.
"Dear friends, this event, this massacre, is an alarm, it is a call to every Shkodran, to come out, stand up with courage and courage in civil disobedience to return to the hands of the citizens their blessed city. The citizens of noble, hard-working, honest people, the city that was occupied by the gang on May 14 and that Edi Rama wants to keep under occupation again.
Therefore, on Saturday, at 12:00, I call in Shkodra, the liberation march, the rescue march in Shkodra. Citizens of Shkodra. On Saturday, you must reclaim your city. Shkodra has always been the spirit. Shkodra, it has always been courage. Shkodra has always been the Rozafa of freedom for Albanians. So everyone in Shkodra, on the march to Shkodra. Do not forget that without the Shkodra uprising in 1990, there would not have been a democratic student revolution in Tirana. But my friends, the citizens of Shkodra should never be the only ones who have to participate in the Saturday march.
Yesterday's massacre is a serious event and each of us, every Albanian, must ask a question today: What is happening to us as a society? Every Albanian today must listen to the deep voice of his conscience, first of all. Because if yesterday 3 people were killed in Shkodër, among whom an innocent mother and two young men were snatched from the murderous hand in the flower of youth, also a little while ago 20-year-old Myzeiri was killed in Velipoja, on the first day of work as a waiter.
Mimoza, the heroine duo who worked as a bartender 16 hours a day to support her daughter's children, was also killed in Tirana. Erioni and Gledio were also killed in Tirana, by mistake while drinking coffee, by murderous gangs that collaborate with the government. Also, 29-year-old Enea was killed in Elbasan, because he exploded a tritoli at the door of his neighbor's house. For all these innocent victims, every Albanian must stand in front of the mirror and admit that we all have a part of the blame. Because those killers who took these innocent lives are the same ones who steal votes on election days for Edi Rama's account. Because justice has been taken away from us before our eyes. They have taken away our democracy and little by little they are taking lives and destroying the nation," said Berisha.
