The Assembly has approved the agreement between Albania and Italy on pensions. Even the opposition gave its vote, as the pact passed with 92 votes in favor.

The new agreement with Interpol also passed with 92 votes.

Also, the Assembly with 68 votes in favor and 21 against approved the draft law on the privatization of state property.

Regarding the pact with Italy, the Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja announced today that the first implementation meeting of the agreement with Italy on the recognition of pensions will take place on June 18-20.

The minister said that there are over 500 thousand Albanian citizens in Italy who are beneficiaries of the scheme, while in Albania 4 thousand Italians

" All the contributions and events in our life are accumulated and in the event that a person is in Italy and has benefited from a certain pension because of the years there, but there are also some years in Albania for which he is not qualified to receive a pension , from the moment the agreement enters into force, he has the right to receive the pension for the years in Albania. From the moment the agreement enters into force, these years turn into a pension right for him, but of course to the extent he is entitled to from the contributions in Albania. Citizens cannot request lek for the years before the agreement entered into force, but from the day the agreement enters into force, their pension increases based on this reformulation ", said Gonxhja.

Regarding the law on state properties, it is intended to exchange them with private properties. According to the opposition, the plan is to benefit the oligarchs.

" I ask you to withdraw this law, it is unconstitutional, designed to take even the few remaining state properties, state properties will be given to private individuals for towers. Only the prime minister will remain tomorrow because he does not release it, every state building will be given to the private sector ", said the democratic deputy Dhurata Çupi.
