In an interview for "Euronews Albania", he said that during his political career he had many difficulties as he pointed out that his life was in danger 3-4 times.
" I have a very positive assessment of my colleagues from that period. There was a lot of idealism then. There were many different challenges to face. We also faced events that could cost us our lives in '97-'98. It's not one and two, it's more than three or four times.
It was a very difficult period, but the people were of better quality. Today really seems to be a different period, when you have technology and a different standard of living, but I see that the level of democracy imposed this political format that we have today ", he said.
