Changes in the government, new Deputy Minister of Agriculture appointed; Blerta
Prime

Today, changes have been made in the government cabinet, at the level of deputy ministers, specifically in the Ministry of Agriculture and Economy.

Tana Kika has been appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Her appointment comes at a time when the agricultural sector remains one of the government's top priorities, particularly in terms of rural development, supporting farmers and increasing investment in the sector.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation has decided to dismiss Blerta Rama, who held the position of deputy minister. So far, the reasons for this change have not been made public or whether a new appointment to this position is expected.

Decisions in the health sector
An important part of the meeting was dedicated to the pharmaceutical sector and the drug reimbursement scheme. The government approved List I of reimbursable drugs sold in hospital pharmacies, as well as List II of drugs covered by the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund.

Also, the price coverage measure for reimbursable drugs was determined, which ranges from 50% to 100%, according to the therapeutic classification and relevant categories.

The decision also sets trading margins for reimbursable drugs, with 8% for wholesale and 24% for retail. Differentiated margins have also been approved for some specific drugs in lists I and II.

The decision for former political prisoners is repealed

The government cabinet has also decided to repeal the decision "On the approval of the deadlines and scheme for the distribution of compensation funds for former political prisoners of the communist regime".

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare have been tasked with implementing this decision.

New platform for financial reporting
Another important decision is related to the creation of the state database of the Electronic Financial Reporting Platform (PERF), which will be administered by the Central Election Commission.

The government argues that this platform aims to increase transparency and monitoring of financial reporting.

Decisions on state property and investments

The meeting also approved several decisions related to the administration and transfer of state properties.

Part of the inventory of state properties is transferred to the administration of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports for the needs of the National Cinematography Center.

Meanwhile, some state properties have been transferred to the ownership of the "Albanian Investment Corporation" for the implementation of the "Pala Public Services Center" and "Copëzat" projects.

Also, the Municipality of Durrës will take ownership of two properties for the expansion of public cemeteries and the implementation of funeral service functions.

Infrastructure and technology decisions
The government has approved the methodology for assessing the risk profile of suppliers and providers of 5G network equipment, a decision related to technological security and communication network standards.

Also, the expropriation in the public interest of the owners of properties affected by the "Construction of Kashar-Vaqarr Interchange" project, in its phases I and II, has been decided.

Mountain Package

As part of policies for rural development and support for remote areas, the government declared several areas in the municipalities of Delvinë, Konispol and Pogradec as "Priority Areas for the Development of the Mountain Economy".

These areas are expected to benefit from specific support and policies for economic development and the promotion of local investments.
