Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, as it was announced yesterday, today convened the Parliamentary Re-establishment Group. Berisha said yesterday that at the meeting there will be discussions on decision-making and the functioning of the Parliamentary Group. So, this meeting comes in the context of the start of the new parliamentary session.
Berisha started his speech by saying that this parliamentary session will start with the session of the "most powerful battles against this stigmatized regime to the maximum extent, on the national and international level".
He also said that Edi Rama is keeping Fredi Beleri in prison so that the 90-day deadline expires not to be sworn in as the new mayor of Himara.
"We start this parliamentary session, in the session of the most powerful battles against this stigmatized regime to the maximum extent, on the national and international level.
I understand that the way the parliament works, it works like a parliament of Cubans, thieves and people who do not have, do not know, neither law, nor morality, nor the constitution, nor regulations. The institution in which the rights of the deputies and therefore of those who represent the deputies, are kicked every hour, every day. Parliament which is totally in the function of the regime of Edi Rama, the regime of crime, drugs and theft.
Seen in this context, it is terribly difficult to sit in that hall, but more supreme obligations to our constituents force us not only to sit, but to multiply our commitment, multiply our alternative for Albanian citizens and denunciations in all the directions of this regime that is headed by a man, today the most discredited in the Balkans and Europe, after Putin and Lukashenko.
Edi Rama is the shame of Albania. Every day that passes is a cover of shame for us. The only prime minister in the region to be rejected by two prime ministers of neighboring countries.
He doesn't have a minute of peace in his soul anymore because he is totally broken and tied head to toe with crime, drugs and theft. It was not hosted in Athens because the summit was about the European values that the countries of the region should share. Keep Beler in prison until the 90-day period expires so that he is not sworn in as the mayor of Himara," said Berisha.
