The head of the government, Edi Rama, has not yet decided whether he will seek a fourth term as Prime Minister of Albania.
"I never thought about the next mandate, I only think about what I have to do in the current mandate. I don't make these decisions in advance, because life has taught me, sometimes worse and sometimes kindly, that it is better to have a vision and a destination, but to plan and work step by step. You never know with these things going on. But even without something happening, he still doesn't know, " Rama told journalist Alice Taylor on the "Inside Albania" podcast.
Asked further by the journalist, if he aims for politics abroad after finishing his third term as prime minister and after some successes that Albania has achieved in the international arena, Rama expressed himself as follows.
" The fact that the comments to the Russian delegation at the UN went viral was a matter of luck. The topic was very important to everyone. Albania would never have appeared in all the world media in a different way. It was fantastic for the country, for the name of Albania. When I started this journey, I didn't have all my hair, but I did have some white hair.
Now as you can see, it is mission impossible to find a black thread on my head or face. Every day that passes, I go into even greater debt with my family, my children, my friends. There is life beyond politics ," he said.
Asked about his plans after retiring from politics, Rama revealed some interesting details.
" I want to be the third version of Edi Rama. I used to be an athlete and an artist. The third version will be something completely different. I have some ideas, but it won't be politics, nothing like that. I think it's time. I wish and hope that I have time to do something again that will involve people, but completely different from this profile, " concluded Rama.
