The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of destroying the freedom of Albanians and restoring censorship.
During his speech to Albanians in Naples, Berisha also criticized the measures taken by the government, citing the use of TikTok as a tool to silence young critics.
The former Prime Minister expressed his conviction that May 11 will be a decisive moment for the future of Albania, warning that Albanians will gather en masse to vote.
He also warned Rama, saying that May 11 will be the victory of the Albanians and the end of him.
"Edi Rama, wait for the diaspora because it is coming after you destroyed Albanians' freedoms and restored censorship. You hanged Tik Tok, the most modern means of communication for young people, on a rope and you did it because you could not stand their criticism. May 11 is their day and your end. On May 11, they will flood from the sea, land and air into Albania. Albanians give birth to mothers to fight for freedom, to become the master of Albania. Wait for the diaspora, Edi Rama, you have no place on earth," said Berisha.
