For SP MP Petro Koçi, the May 11 elections were fair and reflected a clear victory for the SP.
Invited to the show 'Repolitix', Koçi said that the DP suffered a deep defeat in these elections, while emphasizing that Berisha came out worse off than Basha in 2021.
'The elections were normal. If in a district there are cases where the record does not reflect the real result, I will request a correction, but this does not overturn the election result. Here we are dealing with a victory for the SP and a heavy defeat for the DP. Berisha came out worse than Basha, this was political suicide for Berisha at the head of the DP, we received the same votes. So, deep gratitude to Berisha who came to the DP, for the numbers we achieved in these elections,' he said.
The US Embassy's congratulations on the May 11 elections are, for Koç, a recognition of the May 11 elections.
'This is recognition of the process, people are congratulating themselves on the elections, if they were rigged, why would they congratulate a farce and then wait for the process to end and then congratulate the winner,' he said.

The DP and the opposition were not in the best performance to be an alternative for the state. But the coldest and most worrying sign is towards the government. It is also a message that the opposition needs to pull together to become an alternative, the US says unite, do whatever you want and become an alternative. A deep process of reflection and reform must begin,' he said.
