Interior Minister Taulant Balla has reacted to the action of the State Police within the anti-cannabis operations developed throughout the country, where 24,220 narcotic plants were destroyed.
Through a post on social networks, Balla declares that the fight against the cultivation of narcotics continues every day.
According to Balla, the citizens expect the territory to be cleared from the illegal cultivation of narcotic plants.
"The fight against the cultivation of narcotics continues every day. Albanians are waiting for a cleansing of the territory from the illegal cultivation of narcotic plants. The illegal cultivation of cannabis has been a source of finance for criminal organizations, which must be finally extinguished", writes Balla.
During the last 72 hours, the police destroyed a total of about 24,220 cannabis sativa plants and seized 29 kg of cannabis narcotics in Puka. For these cases, two citizens have been declared wanted and 1 village headman has been criminally prosecuted, and intensive work continues to identify and capture the other perpetrators.
