The deputy of the Democratic Party, Orjola Pampuri, spoke about the latest developments in the Democratic Party. Regarding the claims that the corrupt subjects of GJKKO and SPAK were amnestied, Pampuri said that these turned out to be true even today from the interpellation of the deputy Alibeaj with the minister Manja.
"There are no claims, they are clear. When there are facts and arguments there is peace, when there are no flames and smoke. The truth that we highlighted before the amnesty was voted. We all voted for amnesty in principle. We were not against the amnesty of people who have come out in protests against the corrupt. It is protested in every country of Europe.
We were in favor of amnesty. But we presented our amendments. We had a condition, that those who were investigated by GJKKO and SPAK should not be affected, from a publication of one of the journalists it came to light that in addition to what was trumpeted, there were also characters that came out some of Mr. Manja. While Mr. Manja was counting them, the one who made an uncontested tender is amnestied, while the one who came out to protest is in prison. The truth that we said came out. Mr. Manja himself appeared and revealed all the truths.
The bargaining continues, as it continues to bring in those who left the parliamentary group. The bazaar ran out of ink today. As far as we know, we do not have any information about which of the protesters is the beneficiary of the amnesty. This was not a priority, it was a priority to release Mr. Manja's corrupt government officials," Pampuri said.
According to Pampuri, the key word today should be electoral reform, while Re-establishment blew up that commission only for continuous negotiations with the majority.
"Today, 11 months before the elections, the headline should be electoral reform, the vetting of politicians, the removal of immunity to investigate anyone. It is not a priority to make a show there that we are making the big opposition. In exchange for the amnesty, the Reestablishment got that the electoral reform was blown up. Going to a discussion group is absurd" , added the deputy.
As for Reestablishment's claims that only small parties require open lists, Pampuri says that open lists are necessary along with other priorities.
"The opening of the lists is part of a democratic country, associated with voting, electronic counting, the vote of the diaspora and a president from the people. What does this little party, big party mean? Citizens want to vote for the MP they want. He is interested in the individual who will vote" , emphasized Pampuri.
Meanwhile, regarding Rama's proposal, for a resolution in cooperation with the opposition parties, Pampuri says that DP does not become part of the anti-SPAK alliances.
"What commission, that will control SPAK? It's absurd. The reaction of the embassy welcomes in principle any initiative that is anti-corruption. We are the party that demands the vetting of politicians. Have a vetting before taking the post. You leave the rest to integration and negotiations, which is all Rama's calculation.
He says he has 110 votes, that he has the votes of the opposition and having these makes him the big boss, the clean man, in fact he is the head of corruption. What more does Rama want to be called the king of corruption. He is the only one who did not go to SPAK. This is the most corrupt government in this country these 32 years. We will not be a party to this part, to control SPAK", underlined Pampuri.
Pampuri sees Meta's reactions to Basha as normal, since according to her the head of the PL has had a lot of fluctuations over the years in politics, sometimes with harsh language towards Berisha and sometimes bringing Rama to power.
"I remember that during a very important period, Mr. Meta supported Rama and brought him to power. Then when PD received 1 million slaps against it and it was Meta who joined Rama. Then he made these passes. Mr. Meta has always had these fluctuations. There was even harsher language towards Mr. Berisha. Apparently, it repeats itself once every few years and apparently this is the year" , said Pampuri.
DP, for Pampuri, should be an alternative for citizens with a clear program and figures with integrity.
"DP needs to be transformed into a promising alternative. And that's the key to dating, even small dating. How to turn PD into a promising and challenging alternative. No doubt there are people. We have completed a reorganization process. We have a program to present at the end of June. A party is held by a good program and clean figures.
Citizens today are disappointed by a corrupt government. They are looking for alternative, clean people, promising program. This is what we are working on, every day in the field. Even in 1997, what happened to the DP in these 3 years, an unprecedented division, cannot be compared. When the fight is within the species, it is even fiercer. January 8 will be remembered in history. The signs remain. We have passed that stage and we invite citizens to vote for a promising alternative.
There will be innovation in new political figures, young people formed in Albania or abroad. People of integrity. A mix between young people and those of politics for so many years. Every party is open to alliances. But we have that red line", said the deputy.
Regarding a possible cooperation with Reestablishment, Pampuri says that we do not turn back.
"Who is the head of Reestablishment? And why we broke up on September 9, 2021. There are no steps back. We have taken steps forward" , says Pampuri for "Report TV".
