There is no end to the tensions within the Democratic Party. The Presidency's decision to go to new elections divided the official PD into two parts, as one part wants elections for the chairman, while some do not.
Among the names that have come out against is Gazmet Bardhi. The latter is known to have made another move. According to the sources, Bardhi requested that the meeting of the National Council be called, as according to him, only this body can make the decision to go to the elections.
However, it is learned that the members of the Presidency have opposed it. The National Council has many members and putting such a decision to a vote there is not certain. For this reason, a battle has started to prevent the Council from meeting. Deputies are caught in the part where the President calls the National Council. Since the DP does not have a chairman, then this body does not meet. The presidency decided that the elections will be held on July 29, but it seems that the process is encountering opposition and obstacles.
