Deputy Gazmende Bardhi, commenting on the situation within the DP, also spoke about how the MPs expelled from the parliamentary group from Basha and Alibeaj will be dealt with.
In an interview for the show "Now" on "Euronews Albania", Bardhi, while talking about the DP's unification platform, said that these excluded colleagues are not the problem of division.
He added that the only point where the two groups are divided is the DP's orientation and need for the United States of America.
" The split in the parliamentary group came about because of the split in the party. It started because of a decision related to Mr. Berisha and the fact whether or not the strategic partnership with the United States of America should be preserved or not, and we are divided into two parts.
There is a part within the Democratic Party who say that we can come to power and the DP can be strong even without the support of the United States of America, even in open conflict with the United States of America. There is another part, of which I am also a part, that judges that without the partnership with the United States of America, without their support and that of our strategic partners, the Democratic Party is not only no longer strong, but becomes a force that has governance impossible ", said Bardhi.
