The Chairperson of the Media Commission, Flutura Açka, while commenting on the clash in the Media Commission with Gazment Bardhi and Flamur Noka, said that she was found unprepared.
"It is within my right to pass the meeting to physics. I thought I'd take the first step because it's my nature. I cannot do bigger things in that Parliament because others have political muscles... I want to bring another policy that is meant to wake up that part of society that no longer believes in politics.
I represent those people who voted for me for this stature. I have my stature, I think, as a committee chair within the regulations. I know it is a breach of parliamentary rules to hold online meetings. I don't deal with proper names, but I deal with the act and I thought it was the best..." , said Açka.
She underlined that it had not occurred to her that she would end up in such a situation.
"If it was read as a provocation by my colleagues, it didn't even occur to me that I would find myself in such a situation. To be honest, it was not discussed with Mr. Basha whether I should go or not. Basha should not direct me to do my duty. I think it was unprepared. It was a form of terror", said Açka for "Report TV".
Minga: Why didn't you leave the meeting to the noise?
Açka: For four months, I embraced this kind of opposition out of respect for my colleagues, but I saw that nothing was done. We have a terrible parliament regulation, you will leave not for 10 days, but for 1 month. This kind of opposition has brought nothing to light. I can't do much in that parliament, but everyone has their own causes, I want to bring another politician, who has the floor, who addresses the Albanians directly and wakes up that part of the society that doesn't like politics. Now that I am inside and understand what goes on there, these people forget that they are delegated. I represent 2,000 citizens, those people who voted for me voted for this stature, not for a lance man, who hides behind the group, "the group knows". Who are these who drag an entire parliament? This is not the way, they know their own way, but they cannot impose it on me.
Minga : How will it work tomorrow? Will there be countermeasures?
Açka : I had no idea that I would be in that situation, it is a form of terror. How I see it. For tomorrow, only if there is a pandemic, war, state of emergency you can do it online, how can we get into cages? They accused me of serving Rama, I have many things to denounce and I am not denouncing them. I thought it was prepared, an exercise of muscle and strength that left me with a bitter aftertaste. I don't know if there will be measures tomorrow, mainly it has not been discussed, but I believe the same thing will not happen again.
They cannot be imposed on everyone, the whole. The last 4 months show that this is not the way. The institutional violation committed by the majority for not granting investigative commissions shows that even if there is nothing, it looks like there is, why are they stopping it? But this does not mean that since a constitutional violation is being committed, you should violate someone else's right, even the head of the commission. Words kill more, not muscles.
