Reestablishment MP Luan Baçi has spoken about withdrawing from the vote in the Assembly on the law on Criminal Amnesty in the absence of 84 votes, since Lulzim Basha's grouping did not appear at all in the session while Reestablishment continued with the scenario of chaos.
Baçi said that the draft law on amnesty was formulated according to the interest of the socialists to amnesty certain persons. While he added that the opposition of the DP of Basha came as a result of the breakdown of the negotiations between the parties.
"These were initiated by the people who want to grant amnesty, and based on them, they also introduced the categories of criminal offenses that benefit. They broke down in negotiations with Lulzim Basha, who knows what he and his people wanted because they had made him ready to pass with Basha's votes. It can be done with 140 votes, but it will be done when all the deputies or other actors discuss. They have kept it closed for so long, they don't do anything transparent" , Baçi said for "Report TV".
The MP said that there should be transparency before the citizens about the categories that benefit. He goes on to say that they will stop the chaos only if Speaker Lindita Nikolla puts Electoral Reform discussions on the agenda.
"They haven't done transparency yet and haven't discussed it in the commissions. They played games with different amendments, confusing the articles. To become a criminal amnesty, they should not be in a hurry, but put on the table all the categories that want to be forgiven, not play games with only those categories that they want. We also went to the parliament today and if Nikola puts the discussions on the Electoral Reform commission on the agenda, we will immediately sit down and continue the normal session" , Baçi said.
