"They stood like lions against torture", Berisha reacts after 5 protesters were left in prison

The leader of the Democrats, Sali Berisha, has reacted after the court's decision to leave 5 protesters in prison, who were arrested on April 17 after the riots.

Berisha said that the protesters stood like lions against torture and are being held in prison without any evidence or facts.

"They stood like lions against torture, they are being held in prison today without any evidence or facts. They are our conscience, our inspiration, their urgent release from prison is our battle. A heartfelt greeting to those who were tortured in police stations by bandits in uniform," said Berisha.

Today, a hearing was held at the Tirana Court regarding the measure against 11 protesters arrested in Friday's PD protest. This is the first time that protesters have been remanded in custody, 5 of them, while the other 6 are "under obligation to appear".

The following were left in prison: Klement Çuçka, Bujar Tusha, Henri Shapllo, Mirvel Tocilla and Semi Bici.
