Prime Minister Edi Rama has thanked all European Commission partners for continuing work with the Albanian negotiating group for the country's EU membership.
Rama thanked the EC President, stating that Von der Leyen returned unwavering in her support for Albania's full membership process in the EU.
"We touched on Ukraine's resistance to Russian aggression. We will continue to support Ukraine without reservation. Because there, among other things, a clash is taking place between a way of seeing the world, and coexistence, one as part of the EU and the other that threatens the principles of democracy. I thank the EU, not for protocol or formality.
"But for the fact that the work we are doing to advance the internal processes related to reforms, or chapters and negotiations, would not be successful without the continued support of the commission and the partners within the commission who interact every day with our team. I thank the president who not only returns to the region and Albania, but returns unwaveringly to support Albania on its path towards the EU," said Rama.
